15-18 AGE GROUP - LEAD COACH - SUMMER SWIM TEAM

The Louisville Dolphins Swim Team is seeking a Lead Coach for the 15-18 Age Group. The team participates in the Boulder Valley Summer Swim League with a competitive season running from May through July. The Louisville Dolphins Swim Team is a non-profit organization based in Louisville, Colorado, that provides a summer swim team for swimmers ages 5-18. We celebrate over 200 swimmers on the roster. We support our athletes in developing their swimming skills by providing a competitive environment built on the principles of having fun, team spirit, and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with head coach and other age group coaches to develop a daily training schedule that is technically, age and developmentally appropriate and allows swimmers of different abilities to reach their highest potential.
• Guide and support athletes in setting and achieving their season goals.
• Attend preseason practices for age group (PM only)
• Attend regular season daily practice for age group (AM and PM)
• Attend all meets - 7 dual and intrasquad swim meets, 2 specialty swim meets, prelims and finals
• Coordinate with athletes and assistant coaches for athlete event selection for all swim meets.
• Lead final season awards recognition for age group.
• Attend the final season party.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of technical and training aspects of competitive swimming.
• Experience coaching in competitive swimming.
• Positive attitude to provide a model for the assistant coaches, athletes, and families.
• Broad understanding of swim software, including Meet Manager and Team Unify.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR/AED Certifications.
• Must pass all appropriate background checks.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
