What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Jockey Class A CDL and forklift driver position at Louisville Bedding Company?
Louisville Bedding Company is now hiring for a CDL Driver to work locally. This job does not require over the road driving, but you must be willing to learn how to drive a forklift and be willing to unload trucks by hand lifting up to 50lbs. Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm or until the last truck leaves. This position requires manual lifting and unloading of semi trucks. You must be able to lift, push and pull 50-70lbs.
Daily tasks:
- Retrieve finished goods from manufacturing and place in inventory location and corresponding AX movement journal
- Bring empty racks to manufacturing departments
- Maintain organization in Pallet locations and DC
- Remove and discard any broken pallets from pallet locations
- Complete assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner as directed by the Shipping Supervisor
- Unload trucks BY HAND lifting/pushing/pulling 50lbs-70lbs.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Move trailers from shipping yard to shipping dock.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Forklift Operator Certification
Preferred Skills
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX
2 Years of certified forklift operation

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
