Duties
- Maintain the overall appearance of the golf course by performing landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and trimming greens, fairways, and roughs using lawn care equipment and hand tools
- Operate power tools including trimmers, blowers, aerators, and other landscaping machinery to keep the course in top condition
- Assist with irrigation system management by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinkler systems to ensure proper watering schedules and coverage
- Perform routine gardening activities such as planting new vegetation, fertilizing turf, and controlling weeds to promote healthy growth
- Conduct regular inspections of the course for hazards or maintenance needs and promptly address issues to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Support seasonal landscaping projects and special course preparations for tournaments or events
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment usage, and safety protocols
Skills
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance techniques
- Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control
- Skilled in operating hand tools like shovels, rakes, pruners as well as power tools such as trimmers and blowers
- Ability to perform general gardening tasks with attention to detail and safety procedures
- Familiarity with horticulture principles relevant to turfgrass management and plant health
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
