This staff member oversee and Coordinate The Louison House's Emergency Sheltering program. The coordinator/director will provide and oversee the case management to residents in our Emergency Sheltering program.
Many of the people we work with have experienced substance addiction, mental health issues and homelessness. Louison House, Inc. is a nonprofit agency, well known in the community and serving people struggling with homelessness or housing instability in Northern Berkshire and beyond.
The job location will be North Adams and at the Emergency sheltering location in Williamstown. We are looking for someone who is very organized and can oversee the scheduling of staff, supervision of staff, plus all the details for running a safe and secure program that is very important to the community. We are looking for someone with knowledge of Northern Berkshire and the Berkshires in general along with experience in supervision and program coordination.
This job requires previous experience in human services, a valid driver’s license and vehicle, strong math and computer skills, high knowledge of the Berkshire social services, comfort with people with addiction and mental health issues, and to be a very dependable person. We are looking for someone who can work in a fast paced environment as a team player that can problem solve quickly with the clients and staff, while paying attention to details and the needs of the client.
People Skills needed: good communication skills, empathy for people in difficult or crisis situations, non-judgmental, and problem solving skills.
Computer skills needed: Word, Excel, and the knowledge of or the ability to learn data entry for a housing data system.
Summary
As a Project Coordinator/case manager supervisor, you will be instrumental in supporting individuals through social work and crisis intervention. your role involves coordinating services related to housing, behavioral health and addiction counseling. You will utilize your skills working with people and communication skills to maintain accurate records and facilitate effective case management. Pay: $46,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
