The College of Business at Louisiana Tech University invites applications for an Advanced Visiting Assistant Professor (minimum 3 years full-time faculty experience). This is a full-time, temporary, non-tenure-track position for a 9-month academic appointment, typically for one year. The position supports instructional and research needs within the College.
Responsibilities
- Ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate business courses (e.g., International/Global Marketing, Services Marketing, Principles of Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, Consumer Behavior, and Quantitative Methods)
- Develop course materials, syllabi, and assessments
- Deliver engaging, applied instruction using case studies and experiential learning
- Evaluate student performance and maintain academic standards
- Hold regular office hours and provide academic support
Student Engagement:
- Advise and mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students
- Support student success and career development
- Assist with recruitment and retention efforts
Scholarly Activity:
- Engage in scholarly or professional activities appropriate to the discipline
- Maintain current knowledge in field of expertise
Service:
- Participate in limited service such as departmental meetings and program support
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or terminal degree in a business-related discipline
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels
Preferred:
- Experience in AACSB-accredited programs
