Job Summary:
The Arts Instructor for the Encore After school Enrichment Program shall provide high-quality, engaging instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels in their chosen art form. Duties include creating and teaching age-appropriate lessons, activities, and projects; introducing students to a variety of techniques, tools, and creative processes; and fostering creativity, collaboration, and self-expression. Where appropriate, instructor will prepare students for informal showings or end-of-session performances, and ensure a safe and supportive classroom environment, with support from Encore Program Coordinator. The Arts Instructor shall model professionalism, encourage artistic exploration, and promote the personal and creative growth of all participants in alignment with Encore’s mission and the expectations of professionalism of University Laboratory School.
Job Responsibilities:
70%-Instruction
15%-Planning for instruction
10%-Communication with Program Director and parents on student needs and progress
5%-Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
