Role Description
LSU is seeking a full-time Study Abroad Advisor to join its team in Baton Rouge, LA. This on-site role involves providing guidance to students on study abroad programs, including academic planning, visa processes, and cultural preparation. The advisor will collaborate with international institutions, provide pre-departure orientations, assist students with applications, and support them throughout their international education journey. Additionally, responsibilities include maintaining program records and promoting study abroad opportunities to the university community.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Educational Consulting, including advising students on academic plans and program selection.
- Exceptional Communication and Interpersonal Communication skills to guide students and liaise with international partners.
- Knowledge of Visas and international travel-related processes.
- Experience in Consulting and offering tailored advice to meet individual student needs.
- Proficiency in managing cultural exchange programs and understanding global educational trends.
- Ability to manage details effectively and strategically coordinate multiple tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Studies, Education, or a related field is preferred; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience in higher education or working with study abroad programs is beneficial.
