Student medical scribes will work directly under their assigned physician’s supervision and will adhere to all LSUHSC-NO compliance requirements, policies and procedures, and those set forth by the assigned physician’s medical facility. In addition, student medical scribes must be accompanied by their assigned physician during all clinical encounters and are restricted from participating in patient care or clinical decision making. All applicants must pass a background check and complete all LSUHSC-NO and medical facility training prior to being assigned to a clinical site.
