Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician. Duties
-Conduct pre-placement exams for employees
-Provide treatment for workplace injuries and establish a follow up plan
-Evaluate and manage worker’s compensation cases
-Execute in office procedures (sutures, removal of foreign objects, acute wound care)
-Prescribe medications
-Recommend follow up care or treatment and offer referrals to additional medical professionals if needed
-Build relationships effectively with managers regarding all aspects of occupational health practice and policy or practice developments
-Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
-Professional communication skills with other employees and able to work well in a team environment
-Review complex and specific cases and those where there may be and Ill Health Retirement or Disability Act implication
-Ensure good communication with client employees ensuring they are aware of consultations conclusions and advise to managers/ safety representatives
-Work with agreed company policies and DOT Federal Regulations
-Participate in relevant training to maintain and develop clinical managerial practices, taking responsibility for own personal and professional development
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
- Proficiency in phlebotomy, administering medications, sutures, and treatment of acute injuries
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Ability to triage patients effectively
Schedule
-Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
-No nights or weekends
