- An understanding of how art can serve as a pathway for students to engage with history, literature, culture, and interdisciplinary learning.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with classroom teachers and school leaders.
- A strong desire to participate in ongoing professional learning to develop a deep understanding of dyslexia and its impact on learning.
- An open-minded approach to instruction, including a willingness to utilize innovative, multisensory, and student-centered teaching practices.
- A growth mindset and willingness to receive, reflect upon, and implement feedback regarding instructional practices.
- Evidence of strong classroom management, organization, and student engagement skills.
