Court Security Officer
The Louisiana Court of Appeal, First Circuit is seeking a qualified, team-oriented professional to be a part of the First Circuit Security Department. As a member of the First Circuit Security team you will provide security for the judges, attorneys, and support staff of the court.
Daily duties include:
· Greeting and processing all visitors to the courthouse through security check points
· Monitoring courthouse surveillance operations
· Guarding the courthouse main entrance
· Responding to on-site security-related situations and coordinating with emergency personnel
· Patrolling and securing the courthouse and its immediate grounds
Requirements for the job are:
· Three years of law enforcement experience
· Current P.O.S.T. certification from an accredited Louisiana Law Enforcement Agency
· Professional demeanor and discretion are a must
Candidate must be able to meet the physical requirements of the duties described above, pass a background check, possess a valid state driver’s license, and have basic computer skills.
The starting salary range is $36,157-$41,000.
