- Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas.
- Support the nursing team in administering medications and treatments as directed.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and needs.
- Document patient information accurately using electronic health records systems like eClinicalWorks.
- Adhere to safety protocols, particularly in infectious disease care settings.
Skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
- Experience in home care or senior care environments is preferred.
- Understanding of anatomy to assist in patient assessments and care delivery.
- Ability to phlebotomize for blood draws when required by the healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with clinic operations and patient service best practices.
