Construction Inspector 1- Starting salary is $1198.40/bi-weekly
Construction Inspector 2 - Starting salary is $1372.00/bi-weekly
Construction Inspector 3 - Starting salary is $1570.40/bi-weekly
Construction Inspector 4 - Starting salary is $1797.60/bi-weekly
Compensation: This position is eligible for premium pay for every hour worked:
Construction Technician 1-4 - $2.00/hour
Work Schedule: Work hours are 7:45 am - 4:15 pm, Monday-Friday

About This Job
- This position is responsible for assisting professional engineer and/or higher level technicians in the performance of construction inspection work.
- The incumbent must be self-motivated and be able to perform duties many times with or without minimal supervision and also be able to interpret unforeseen conditions as they may arise.
- The incumbent will participate in appropriate DOTD structured training programs as appropriate and attend all continuing education classes and conferences deemed necessary to facilitate the performance of required tasks.

The job duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with departmental policies, standards, specifications, and project plans.
- Complete and process construction documentation such as field diaries, reports, and estimates.
- Enter, review, and maintain construction project data in departmental systems (e.g., MATT, Site Manager, Content Manager).
- Apply DOTD engineering policies and procedures while working in the Project Engineer’s office and at construction sites.
- Serve as the primary construction inspector in assigned areas of specialization or certification.
- Determine material sampling requirements and verify materials, haul quantities, and survey elevations and alignments.
- Complete required training and support efficient project operations, including assisting other staff as needed.
