The Court of Appeal, First Circuit, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is seeking a highly qualified attorney for the role of Assistant Director of the Criminal Section of its Central Staff Department. This is an upper-level legal and managerial position responsible for overseeing the court's criminal section of its Central Staff Department reporting directly to the Central Staff Director. Legal research and drafting are integral components of the position. The Assistant Director is responsible for the training and supervision of Central Staff attorneys and support staff and management of workflow within the department.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing in the Louisiana State Bar Association
- Five (5) years of appellate-level experience or experience of equal value
- Prior supervisory experience
- Extensive knowledge of Louisiana constitutional and criminal law
- Knowledge of the Uniform Rules for the Courts of Appeal
- Strong legal writing, research, and managerial skills
