This is an on-site, full-time General Dentist position located in Baton Rouge, LA. The General Dentist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating dental conditions, performing preventative and restorative procedures, and developing personalized treatment plans. Responsibilities include providing patient education on oral health, maintaining accurate patient records, collaborating with specialists, and adhering to the highest standards of patient care and safety. You will work closely with a team of dentists, hygienists, and support staff to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of dental conditions
- Skills in performing preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dental procedures
- Familiarity with modern dental technologies and software
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient education abilities
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate patient records
- Liaising effectively with specialists and a collaborative dental team approach
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited institution
- Active dental license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain such
- CPR/BLS certification is a plus
- Experience in a group practice or familiarity with Medicaid is preferred
