Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement short- and long-term plans that contribute to the achievement of college strategic objectives and mission.
- Manage operational systems related to budget management, inventory management, student advisement, course scheduling, faculty orientation, and other instructional support systems.
- Develop, monitor, and administer the campus budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational goals. This includes forecasting expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing resource allocation.
- Identify learning needs and develop alternative offerings to serve adults and the workforce, in consultation with academic leadership.
- Foster partnerships with business and industry to enhance educational opportunities, including seeking funding opportunities and negotiating contracts.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the campus, including responsibility for facilities and equipment maintenance, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Cultivate a visible presence in the community and maintain strong relationships with local leaders, businesses, community organizations, and educational institutions to promote the college's programs and initiatives.
- Develop alternative funding sources, including grants, sponsorships, and donations from businesses and industries, to support campus initiatives and student success programs.
- Recommend, supervise, and evaluate assigned staff, providing leadership and mentorship to foster professional development and a positive work culture.
- Represent LDCC with state agencies, economic development groups, and participate in community and civic organizations, advocating for the college's interests and advancing its mission.
- Support assessment and accreditation activities, ensuring program outcomes align with workforce needs and educational standards.
- Stay updated on new trends and innovations in the field of education and workforce development and integrate best practices into campus operations.
- Foster positive relationships with supervisors, college staff, students, and the community, promoting a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Contribute significantly to the success of both the assigned campus and the college, serving as a proactive leader and champion of LDCC's mission and values.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving needs and priorities.
- Serves as a member of the Chancellor’s Cabinet
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field or a minimum of five years of demonstrated leadership in higher education or private-sector employment.
- Excellent public relations, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Service-oriented mindset with a commitment to excellence and professionalism.
- Demonstrated alignment with the philosophy and mission of Louisiana Delta Community College.
- Sensitivity to the needs of students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of workforce education is highly desirable.
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
