Job Overview
LCU is looking to hire a Graduate Assistant Baseball Coach for the 2025-2026 Baseball Season. Both hitting and pitching specialties will be entertained as applicants. The applicant must be a baseball guy who is willing to learn and adapt to the LCU Baseball Program and System. The applicant must be able to hit fungo and throw batting practice. LCU offers Graduate Degrees in Business Administration, Educational Leadership, Teacher Certification with an extension into a Master of Arts in Teaching, and Social Work. Tuition, Room, Board, & Meals will be paid for. There is also a possibility for the hired applicant to receive a small stipend. The hired candidate will be allowed to do unlimited lessons around the baseball practice and game schedule.
Duties
- Develop and implement training programs that enhance players' skills in baseball.
- Conduct regular practice sessions, focusing on fundamental techniques such as hitting, pitching, and fielding.
- Educate players on game strategies, rules, and sportsmanship.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration among team members to build a positive team culture.
- Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Ensure the safety of all participants during practices and games by maintaining a secure environment.
- Communicate effectively with the Head Coach and other assistant coaches on assigned tasks.
- Organize showcases alongside fellow coaches
Skills
- Bachelors Degree
- Played Collegiate Baseball
- Strong ability to educate young athletes in various aspects of the game.
- Experience working with students in an educational or recreational setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of health club practices or lifeguarding can be beneficial for ensuring safety during activities.
- Ability to climb physical challenges related to training environments may be necessary.
- Ability to Hit Fungo and Throw Batting Practice.
- A strong commitment to promoting a positive learning environment for all participants.
