Louisiana Bridge Builders (“LBB”) is designing and building the new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana (USA) for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). LBB will also be responsible for the reconstruction of interstate highway, various structures, ramps, and approaches for a 5.5 mile stretch between I-210 West End and Ryan Street.

LOCATION
This position is based in Lake Charles, LA.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
At a minimum, the O&M Superintendent must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent degree along with 10 years of relevant civil experience within concrete, structures, roads, and/or marine or a high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 14 years of relevant civil experience within concrete, structures, roads, and/or marine. The O&M Superintendent must also have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent or other senior project site role while being responsible for leading and managing a multi-discipline work force on a large-scale project.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) for onsite O&M activities.
- Coordinates with the O&M subcontractors onsite.
- Prepares the O&M reports for DOTD and CBP.
- Tracks O&M works and updates the Maintenance Management System register.
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance activities, ensuring they are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with standards and regulations.
- Prepare 3 Week look ahead for O&M activities.
- Track and analyze equipment and facility performance data to identify issues, enhance efficiency, and improve reliability.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Quickly respond to breakdowns or emergencies, mobilize resources, and implement corrective measures to restore operations safely.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company quality plan, and industry best practices.
- Assures contractual compliance in terms of O&M works.
- Participates in safety and environmental programs and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Hire, motivate, and lead a high-performing team through coaching, top-tier talent retention, and directed recruiting efforts.
- Supervises team, including training, providing work direction, problem-solving assistance, reviewing performance, recommending salary increases, promotions, transfers, demotions, and terminations.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and consumables, ensuring critical spares are available to avoid operational interruptions.
- Prepare and submit daily activity report.
- Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner through written and verbal communications in all interfaces with customers/public, fellow employees, vendors, etc.
- Ability to use appropriate computer programs (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite) which includes having proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt and learn as programs and processes change.

- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, additional and/or different hours, including but not limited to nights, weekends, and/or holidays, as needed, to best serve the business operations.
- Ability to be on-call during designated periods outside of regular working hours, meaning must be available to respond to work-related issues and potentially be at the Project Office and/or Project Job-Site on short notice (i.e. within one (1) hour).
- Ability to maintain a valid and current driver’s license.
