We host exhibitions, performances, educational programs, and community events that foster artistic expression and connection.
Position OverviewLHUCA is seeking a creative and motivated Part-Time Marketing Coordinator to support the organization’s marketing and communication efforts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the arts, strong design and social media skills, and experience in digital and print marketing. This role focuses on social media content creation, graphic design, and website management to promote LHUCA’s exhibitions, programs, and events.
Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media & Digital Marketing
- Create engaging, brand-aligned content for LHUCA’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, etc.).
- Develop and implement a social media calendar to promote programs, fundraising, and community events.
- Capture and edit photo and video content for digital use.
- Monitor analytics for grant reporting purposes.
Graphic Design & Advertising
- Design marketing materials for print and digital platforms, including flyers, postcards, digital ads, and email graphics.
- Ensure all materials adhere to LHUCA’s brand guidelines and visual identity.
- Coordinate with staff and community partners to distribute marketing materials as needed.
Website Management
- Help update and maintain LHUCA’s website with current information.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure accurate, timely, and engaging online content.
- Monitor website analytics and suggest improvements for user experience and SEO.
General Marketing Support
- Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns and strategies.
- Help coordinate media outreach and promotional partnerships.
- Support marketing efforts for First Friday Art Trail and other major LHUCA events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing social media accounts for an organization or brand.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva.
- Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with website management tools (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace, or similar).
Preferred:
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
- Basic photography and video editing skills.
- Passion for the arts and community engagement.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours required for LHUCA events (e.g., First Friday Art Trail).
- Collaborative and creative workplace environment.
