Louisa-Muscatine Community School District is seeking a Busy Hands Childcare Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year.
Summary: Part-time position with approximately 15-20 hours per month overseeing the operations of the childcare center.
Qualifications:
- Experience with or willingness to learn the DHS childcare responsibilities
- Organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
Skills:
- Knowledge of DHS daycare requirements
- Computer/Technology Skills
- Organizational skills
- Able to communicate well with others (children, parents and staff)
Reports to: Elementary Building Principal
Performance Responsibilities:
- Maintain proper paperwork for staff, students and and the building to align with DHS requirements
- Assist in planning required training. (CPR, professional development opportunities)
- Assist with back to school registration
- Calculate and send out monthly billing statements
- Assist in organizing daily schedules for before and after school care as well as Friday daycare
- Provide ideas for activities for the daycare program
- Collaborate with the staff and administration with any needs within the program
- Occasional daycare supervision
- Give feedback to administration regarding staffing
- Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated by the Building Principal.
