Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver products to various locations according to scheduled routes.
- Verify delivery details, including pricing and order accuracy, before loading and upon delivery.
- Engage with customers professionally, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.
- Organize daily routes efficiently using organizational skills to maximize productivity and reduce delivery times.
- Perform heavy lifting when loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or injury.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, route logs, and transaction details for accountability and reporting purposes.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record; familiarity with route driving is essential.
- Strong math skills for calculating pricing, measurements, and quantities accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to ensure proper product placement during deliveries.
