Position: Administrative Assistant (part-time)
The Loudoun Education Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support our operations and programs.
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant will report to the Executive Director and support the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and enthusiastic about the Foundation’s mission to provide resources for students and educators to reach their full potential. This is a part-time position (15-20 hours weekly) that can be in the office or split between in-office and remote.
Specifically, the Administrative Assistant's responsibilities will include:
Administrative Support
- Support the Executive Director with board communication; i.e. scheduling meetings and distributing board documents
- Take and distribute minutes for board meetings
- Managing general inquiries that come in via email and, occasionally, phone calls
- Book conference rooms as needed
- Support the records clean up effort and ongoing updates in our donor management system, Donor View
Program/Event Support
- Support Operations Manager in organizing applications for the Innovation in Education grants program
- Support Operations Manager in planning and organizing the annual Outstanding Educators Banquet (in May)
- Support Operations Manager in organizing scholarship payment schedules
- Support Operations Manager with the monthly SHINE (Spotlighting Heroes in Education) program by maintaining the calendar and generating prize ideas
- Support the LEF Golf Classic in the fall
Financial Services Support
- Enter check deposit dates into Donor View system
- Assist with monthly transaction reviews
Required Professional Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and researching skills
- Technology savvy with demonstrated ability to learn systems and processes quickly
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external entities to maximize performance and creativity
- Ability to work independently, while multi-tasking in a dynamic and fast-paced organization
