Job Summary
We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
- Ashburn Recreation & Community Center, Ashburn, VA
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Instructs and guides participants during programming by maintaining proper use of equipment and modifications based on participant skills and abilities.
- Motivates program participants and upholds center policies and procedures while instructing classes.
- Oversees participant conduct as needed and examines all intake forms before their involvement.
- Prepares for programming promptly with the setup and breakdown of equipment and materials.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment for participants, family, and caregivers before, during, and after class.
- Communicate effectively with staff and all patrons.
- Stays up to date with industry standards and subject matter trends.
- Additional responsibilities pertinent to their role may be undertaken.
*Schedules offer flexibility and may encompass morning, evening, and weekend shifts. The hours can differ depending on the client, the center, and specific holiday requirements. *
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six (6) months of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- CTRS Certification.
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Must undergo a criminal background check. Instructors must obtain adult and pediatric CPR/first aid certification before instructing programs.
Salary : $16 - $30
