Loudoun County Department of Family Services seeks a dedicated, professional candidate for its Childcare Specialist position. The successful candidate will join the Public Assistance and Support division and the diverse department that envisions better health, safety, and well-being for all. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and implementing family-centered service plans, and coordinating services across departments, county agencies, and community organizations. The role also involves processing purchase orders and payments related to childcare services.
Conducting client assessments. Evaluating service needs. Coordinating and collaborating with other professionals to develop plans for individuals and families. Conducting crisis intervention and making client referrals. Coordinating and conducting workshops. Determining eligibility for assistance. Developing daycare resources. Managing daycare caseload. Meeting all state, local, and federal mandates and requirements for interviewing clients, processing applications, organizing and documenting case records. Evaluating and substantiating eligibility criteria. Ensuring case closure follows appropriate procedure. Maintaining program documentation. Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:Bi-lingual skills in English and Spanish.Pass pre-employment credit, criminal, and Child Protective Services (CPS) background checks.
