What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Manager I position at Loudoun County Government?
• Providing administrative support as necessary to the Department Director.
• Managing multiple demands and maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Exercising professional care with confidential records and information.
• Working with department leadership to update and manage the department’s standard operating procedures.
• Responding to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and coordinating and tracking compliance and completion of FOIA requests as necessary.
We are seeking an individual with:
• Knowledge of administrative and budget management practices and procedures, business English, spelling, and mathematics.
• Ability to communicate concisely and effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships as a manager and with the department's leadership.
• Ability to prioritize deadlines and to re-prioritize as needed.
• Ability to organize information and prepare clear, comprehensive, and concise reports in a timely fashion.
• Ability to supervise, guide, mentor, and evaluate assigned employees.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Proficiency using Microsoft 365 Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Word) and Adobe Sign or DocuSign.
Preferred Additional Qualifications
• Certified Administrative Professional preferred.
• Virginia State Notary Public Certificate preferred.
