Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential environments, ensuring adherence to local electrical codes and safety procedures
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately perform wiring and system installations
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters; implement effective solutions promptly
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring work safely on industrial equipment and infrastructure while following NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards
- Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems, including low voltage controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial electrical components
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for wiring, conduit bending, termination, and installation tasks on construction sites or renovation projects
- Ensure all work complies with the NEC (National Electrical Code) and local electrical codes; document work performed accurately for record-keeping purposes
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician in Residential or commercial settings with a strong understanding of electrical systems and high-voltage wiring
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards and local electrical codes; ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints with confidence
- Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and schematics reading techniques
- Familiarity with construction site procedures, renovation projects, and working safely around high-voltage equipment
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, power drills, conduit benders, wire strippers, and other essential electrical work tools effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to diagnosing issues quickly and implementing lasting solutions
