What are the responsibilities and job description for the Control Engineer position at LotusLynx?
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop control systems for automated material handling and conveyor-based solutions
- Architect scalable and modular PLC and HMI solutions based on system requirements
- Lead controls design efforts, including hardware selection, I/O mapping, and control logic development
- Serve as the technical lead for controls on large and complex automation projects
- Support system emulation, testing, and performance validation prior to commissioning
- Provide on-site commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting support as needed
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level controls engineers
- Develop and maintain technical standards, documentation, and best practices
- Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to engineering innovation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Ten or more years of controls engineering experience in automation, material handling, or related industries
- Strong experience designing and programming PLC-based control systems
- Hands-on experience developing HMI and SCADA applications
- Experience working with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet-based networks and fieldbus systems
- Proven ability to lead projects from design through commissioning and support
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with high-speed sortation or large-scale material handling systems
- Exposure to safety systems, motion control, or robotics
- Previous experience mentoring or leading engineering teams
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as project needs require
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
