We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Development Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role is essential to maintaining the accounting integrity of our diverse portfolio, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance across our real estate and hospitality operations.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Development Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role is essential to maintaining the accounting integrity of our diverse portfolio, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance across our real estate and hospitality operations.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Assist the Accounting Manager and/or Assistant Controller with the acquisition fund budget and cash flow projections
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
- Prepare project cost tracking and analysis
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities and ensure compliance with reporting standards and regulations.
- Prepare development draws, accounts payable processing, bank reconciliations, and vendor management in accordance with Lotus standards and operating procedures
- Leverage Yardi Voyager for development accounting, reporting, and system optimization.
- Collaborate with development team members to ensure accurate financial tracking.
- Other duties as assigned
- Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity accounting.
- Excellent Excel skills; experience with financial modeling and data analysis a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
- CPA, CMA or progress toward certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience, ideally in property development.
- Proficiency in Yardi Voyager is preferred.
- Eligibility for Lotus Company’s employee benefit package including health, dental, and vision insurance, where eligibility begins 30 days after employment. Company contributes up to $1,430 a month towards the premium.
