JOB OVERVIEW
Lotus Technical has a contract opportunity for a Buyer-Planner for our client, a medical device manufacturing company located in Westford, MA. Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder. Must be local to the MA area. Sorry, no relocations. Position is contingent on criminal background, education and employment verification, and drug test.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Conduct research on potential suppliers and vendors, promotions, and other industry trends as a source of accurate and up-to-date information for purchasing activities.
Enter data into databases or other computerized systems to maintain up-to-date supplier and vendor information, to track purchase and the status of orders and deliveries, and to generate purchasing reports and statistics.
Monitor the quality and timeliness of materials and goods supplied.
Follow-up the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
Communicate status of orders with internal customers.
Activities include sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers and vendors, negotiating supply contracts, and monitoring the quality and timeliness of materials and services supplied.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
5 years experience as a buyer/planner.
High School Diploma / GED.
Manufacturing, customer service, and negotiation experience is required.
Intermediate/Expert Excel skills.
Must be US Citizen, or Green Card Holder.
Must be local to the MA area. Sorry, no relocations.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
2 years working in a highly regulated environment preferred preferably from a medical device manufacturing environment.
2 years working with purchasing.
