Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, and prenatal massage tailored to each client’s needs
- Conduct thorough client assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure safety during sessions
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment options, and provide guidance on post-massage care
- Maintain a clean, organized treatment area in compliance with health and safety standards
- Document client sessions accurately and securely in accordance with privacy regulations
- Stay informed about the latest developments in massage therapy techniques and physiology knowledge to enhance service quality
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere that emphasizes patient service excellence and fosters client loyalty
Requirements
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist with current CPR certification
- Proven experience in massage therapy with expertise in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage and prenatal massage
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology to assess patient needs effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pain management and occupational health
- Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and adapt treatments accordingly
- Prior experience working in med spa settings or occupational health environments is preferred but not required
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards of hygiene and confidentiality
