About This Role:
The Supervising Professional is responsible for setting up and managing Behavioral Care Services for participants who qualify for Behavioral care services as determined by their assessment. The Supervising Professional develops the participant service plan with input from the Participant’s Representative (PR) and assessment document. They may be asked to assist with care delivery competency trainings if needed. They also serve as a resource for the participant, PR or worker on appropriate program use and other services to help meet the health and safety needs of the participant in the community. The Supervising Professional may assist in training, supervision, and evaluation of services, as well as ensuring quality assurance of the direct care services at Lotus Care LLC They are expected to stay abreast of current policies and changes to the program, and to participate in committees and meetings to enhance their knowledge of services beneficial to their clients. The Supervising Professional would assist in directed areas; this may include home visits or competency visits.
Requirements
- Supervising Professional must be qualified in at least one of the following ways:
- A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 or older; OR
- An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to people with disabilities or persons age 65 or older.
- Willingness to be trained in the services needed by people with disabilities and the elderly in Minnesota.
- Willingness to be trained on home health care requirements, regulations, and protocols
- Demonstrated creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to affect change and demonstrate positive leadership.
- High commitment to service and professionalism
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to be trained on federal and state statutes applicable to services for people with disabilities and the elderly in Minnesota.
- Must possess intellectual strength and have a keen understanding of internal systems needed to support services.
- Must pass a background study with the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
- Have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation to use for work driving purposes.
Behavioral Essential duties
Provide direct care and support to individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities.
· Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
· Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
· Conduct data collection and analysis to track progress and outcomes.
· Assist with crisis management and behavior support as needed.
· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
· Provide support during community outings and social activities.
. Ability to work in fast paste environment.
. Ability to work with a client displaying high magnitude of physical aggression, property description and self-injury.
· Knowledge of behavioral health principles and techniques
Hours Worked: Three to Four days of direct care and 1 to two days of admin hours per week totaling 40 hours per week.
All prospective employee in this position should be prepared to work weekends and holidays.
