This role bridges the gap between high-level strategy and floor-level execution, ensuring that shipping, receiving, and inventory targets are met daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations & Performance Execution
- Directly supervise the floor to maintain On-Time Receiving (OTR) and On-Time Shipping (OTS) KPI targets.
- Monitor real-time workflow and reassign labor/equipment (MHE) to resolve bottlenecks.
- Ensure all warehouse associates meet daily productivity and accuracy benchmarks.
- Quality & Audit Readiness
- Conduct daily "mock audits" to ensure the facility is always prepared for formal Samsung and GPCA inspections.
- Enforce strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and business processes among the team.
- Inventory & Facility Oversight
- Supervise inventory counts and cycle counting across all storage environments (small/shelf, medium, large/bulk, and LCD panels).
- Monitor facility maintenance and report issues regarding equipment leasing (RT, CB, and OP Forklifts).
- Safety & Compliance Leadership
- Serve as the primary "Safety First" champion on the floor.
- Conduct daily safety huddles and ensure total compliance with OSHA and HAZMAT regulations.
- Personnel Development & Support
- Assist the Center Manager in mentoring warehouse associates and junior leads.
- Provide input for performance reviews and help manage professional development tracks for the team.
- WMS/WMP Proficiency: Advanced hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems and RF scanning technology.
- Operational Agility: Proven ability to handle changing priorities in a high-pressure logistics environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills for leading daily stand-up meetings and coordinating between departments.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of DOT, HAZMAT, and OSHA safety protocols.
- Administrative Tech: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel for tracking productivity and Word for reporting).
- Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a warehouse/logistics environment.
- At least two (2) years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Experience in trucking operations or high-volume distribution is highly preferred.
- Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or a related field (equivalent work experience may be considered).
- Certification: Specialized forklift certification familiarity is a plus.
- Logistics Expert: Strong working knowledge of warehouse/mechanical equipment and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
