As a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the company's daily operations ensuring materials, supplies, equipment and services are available when needed. You will be responsible for processing purchase orders, tracking inventory, communicating with vendors and verifying successful and accurate order delivery.
Essential Job Functions
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties:
- Processes Purchase Orders for inventory products and non-inventory products and services
- Evaluates pricing & necessity of goods & services
- Request & negotiate vendor quotes
- Identify Vendors / Build Vendor & Lott Oil Relations
- Complete accurate data logs
- Data entry for price changes
- Establish tote numbers
- Assign part codes to warehouses & vendors
- Designate freight carriers & schedules pick up dates / times
- Process, log & corrects receivers
- Process, log & handle credits & returns
- Monitor inventory levels
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Administrative office role, or documented comparable experience.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills.
- Communication: Clear, professional communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Education: High school diploma
