Position Summary

LOT Commercial Property Services is seeking a Claims & Safety Coordinator to join our Safety team. This role will support the day-to-day management and administration of the company’s workers’ compensation, auto, and general liability claims while also providing administrative support for company safety and training programs

.Working closely with the Safety Director, this person will help keep active claims organized and moving forward by coordinating with insurance adjusters, brokers, medical providers, nurse case managers, legal counsel, employees, and internal teams

.This is an ideal opportunity for someone with approximately 3–5 years of experience in workers’ compensation, insurance claims, risk management, or safety administration who is interested in expanding their experience on the employer side

What You’ll Do

Claims Administration

  • Track workers’ compensation, auto, and general liability claims from initial reporting through resolution
  • Monitor medical appointments, work status reports, restrictions, treatment updates, and return-to-work progress
  • Maintain accurate claim files, documentation, notes, and key claim milestone
  • Coordinate regularly with insurance adjusters, brokers, medical providers, nurse case managers, and other external partners
  • Support communication and follow-up with defense counsel on litigated workers’ compensation claims
  • Gather incident information, medical documentation, witness statements, and other information needed to support claim management
  • Follow up with employees, managers, and external partners to ensure required documentation and updates are received
  • Assist with return-to-work and modified-duty coordination
  • Prepare claim summaries, status reports, and other information for Safety leadership
  • Help identify outstanding items or delays that may prevent a claim from progressing toward resolution


Safety & Compliance Administration

  • Maintain documentation associated with new-hire safety orientations and required safety training
  • Track employee safety certifications, training requirements, renewals, and completion date
  • Coordinate and follow up on required training, including online and instructor-led program
  • Prepare and maintain training certificates and safety records
  • Ensure completed orientation and training documentation is properly filed and provided to appropriate internal departments
  • Support OSHA recordkeeping and other safety compliance documentation as needed
  • Provide administrative support for additional Safety Department initiatives, training programs, and injury-prevention effort


What We’re Looking For

  • Approximately 3–5 years of experience in workers’ compensation claims, insurance claims, risk management, safety administration, or a related area
  • Working knowledge of the workers’ compensation claims process
  • Experience coordinating with adjusters, TPAs, medical providers, attorneys, or other claims partners preferred
  • Exposure to return-to-work, modified duty, work restrictions, or medical status tracking is preferred
  • Experience supporting litigated workers’ compensation claims is a plus
  • Safety administration, OSHA recordkeeping, training coordination, or compliance experience is a plus
  • Experience supporting construction, property services, facilities, landscaping, skilled trades, field service, or another field-based workforce is a plus, but not required
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active claims, deadlines, documents, and follow-up items simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning claims management and reporting system
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience


Who Will Do Well in This Role

You don’t need to be a senior claims adjuster to be successful here. We’re looking for someone who understands the claims process, is exceptionally organized, and enjoys keeping all the moving pieces connected. You may currently be working as a Workers’ Compensation Claims Coordinator, Claims Assistant, Claims Examiner, Adjuster, Risk Coordinator, Safety & Claims Coordinator, or Safety Administrator and be ready to take the next step into a broader employer-side role. The right person will be comfortable following up, asking questions, keeping detailed records, and making sure employees, adjusters, medical providers, attorneys, and internal teams have the information they needed.


Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time
  • San Diego-based hybrid opportunity
  • Expected salary range: $65,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience
  • In-office expectations may vary based on experience and training needs
