On-Call Maintenance Technician
Athens, Ohio | On-Call / As Needed
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team on an on-call, as-needed basis at our unique property featuring both hotel rooms and long-term stay apartments.
This is a great opportunity for someone with general maintenance, apartment, hotel, construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or handyman experience who enjoys solving problems and keeping a property in great condition.
Responsibilities
- Respond to maintenance calls and complete work orders.
- Perform general repairs throughout hotel rooms, apartments, common areas, and the property.
- Handle basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, doors, fixtures, appliances, and other repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
- Assist with exterior property upkeep, including seasonal maintenance.
- Respond to emergency maintenance needs when called.
- Provide courteous, professional service to guests and long-term residents.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, construction, hotel, apartment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable and responsive when called upon.
- Able to work independently.
- Professional and courteous with guests, residents, and coworkers.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant hands-on experience will be considered.
Important – On-Call Position
This is an ON-CALL, AS-NEEDED position and does not have a guaranteed weekly schedule or number of hours. Availability may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional emergency calls.
