Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, assist with product inquiries
- Operate the cash register (POS system), handle retail sales transactions accurately, and process cash, credit, or digital payments with professionalism
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are properly displayed
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including stocking shelves, organizing, and cleaning
- Handle cash drawer operations with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling and reconciliation at shift end
- Open and close the store independently
- Demonstrate excellent customer service etiquette when communicating with customers
Skills
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations for seamless retail transactions
- Prior experience in opening and closing a store independently is a plus
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for pricing, discounts, and inventory management
- Strong customer service skills with clear communication and active listening abilities
- Excellent phone etiquette combined with professional communication skills for customer interactions
- Basic math skills for cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and performing sales calculations
