Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our bakery, providing exceptional service, assisting customers with their selections, and ensuring our bakery cases are stocked and beautiful. If you have a passion for food, great people skills, and a positive attitude, we want to meet you!
Key Responsibilities
- Customer-focused Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions about our products, and make recommendations to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Sales & Orders: Accurately process sales transactions using our point-of-sale (POS) system and take special orders in person or over the phone.
- Merchandising: Keep bakery cases well-stocked, visually appealing, and properly priced with correct signage. Ensure all merchandise is fresh and in saleable condition.
- Bakery Operations: Assist with general bakery tasks, including packaging baked goods, light food prep, monitoring of ingredients, and maintaining a super clean and organized work environment.
- Sanitation & Safety: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards, following cleaning schedules to ensure the sales counter, display cases, and work areas meet health requirements.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the management, baking and sales teams to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Marketing and Promotion: Utilize effective digital and print marketing strategies to help maximize customer buying experiences
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience in customer service, food service, or high-end retail is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and basic math skills.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- High Efficiency: Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Availability: Flexibility is required, including the ability to work early morning or flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility: Must be available to work occasional weekends and holidays.
