Summary
We are seeking a passionate Bartender/Barista to join our team at Lost Dog Cafe in the heart of our community. This role is vital to delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring that every cup of coffee, cocktail and service served meets our high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items with precision and care.
- Learn all of our signature and classic cocktail recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service, engaging with customers to enhance their experience.
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed.
- Assist in training new staff members on best practices for coffee preparation and customer service.
- Stay updated on menu items and promotions to effectively communicate with customers.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar role within the food service industry.
- Decently strong knowledge in coffee, liquor, wine and beer
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food handling.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays is preferred.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- AM shift is 10:30-4ish Tuesday-Saturday and PM shift is 3:40-10 on weeknights and 11 on weekends. Cocktail lounge is 4-1 am Thursdays and 4-2am Friday and Saturdays.
- Current opening is for Friday and Saturday lounge shift's mixed with 1 week day or night shift.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 per hour
