About the Role
Are you awesome? If you enjoy helping others and flourish in a fast-paced environment, you might be a fit for the Losey Insurance and Financial Services internship position. In this flexible part-time role, you will support team members in different channels as they work with clients to match products and services to their unique needs and take inbound calls from clients and potential clients which means successful candidates can multitask, have customer service experience, and navigate multiple, simple computer applications. We will provide computer equipment and training. This is an in-person position located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Responsibilities
- Support team members in different channels as they work with clients.
- Match products and services to clients' unique needs.
- Take inbound calls from clients and potential clients.
- Multitask and navigate multiple, simple computer applications.
Qualifications
- Two years of post-secondary education and be enrolled in a college or university program, pursuing a degree in business, accounting, math, or a related field in the greater Baton Rouge, Louisiana area; we love working with students and understand the unique scheduling.
Required Skills
- Possess strong self-awareness and computing skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Able to work independently but enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members who will be working closely with you.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, including the ability to actively listen, and problem-solve with minimal assistance.
- Attention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracy.
- The ability to multi-task, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive information.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with property & casualty insurance in an agency setting is absolutely not required.
Pay range and compensation package
Hourly compensated position; pay is commensurate with the industry.
