Responsibilities
- Supervise all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality standards are met.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
- Oversee the use of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, sales tracking, and cash handling procedures.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to promote skill development, teamwork, and adherence to food safety protocols.
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet customer demand during peak hours while maintaining labor costs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety.
- Conduct regular food safety audits, manage food production processes, and implement quality control measures.
- Analyze profit and loss reports to identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management, staff training, and performance evaluations.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS along with cash handling expertise.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices, food safety standards, and health regulations including HACCP principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Basic math skills for order accuracy, inventory management, and financial analysis.
- Hospitality management or culinary experience is highly desirable; previous assistant manager or managerial roles are preferred.
