Job Summary And Qualifications

• You will supervise a variety of day-to-day operational functions of the Core Laboratory (Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, and Urinalysis) areas
• You will provide technical bench work as needed to support workload demands
• You will establish and maintain laboratory records, reports, statistics, logs, and files consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation agencies (e.g. CAP, DHS, JCAHO, FDA, AABB, CLIA, HCFA and OIG Laboratory Compliance).
• You will participate in the departmental performance improvement, quality control, safety, environmental and infection control programs and supervise and coordinate technical functions and activities in any or all sections of the laboratory
  
  

What qualifications you will need:

• Maintains active Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in the State of California
• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• Minimum of 5 years of hospital laboratory experience in Hematology, Coagulation, and Urinalysis testing including methodological details and quality control
• Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory principles, practices, and techniques; working knowledge of laboratory information systems, and quality assurance/ performance improvement programs
