Job Summary:
The Food Runner is critical in delivering the exceptional dining experience that defines Campo at Los Poblanos. Working alongside servers, chefs, and the broader hospitality team, the Food Runner ensures that each dish is delivered to guests with care, precision, and knowledge of ingredients and preparation. This team member serves as a liaison between the kitchen and the front-of-house team, helping tell the story of the food, farm, and mission behind each plate.
Essential Job Functions:
- Promptly deliver food orders from the kitchen to guest tables accurately and professionally.
- Communicate dish components, sourcing, and chef notes when needed.
- Ensure all plates are delivered at the correct temperature and presentation standards are met.
- Work closely with servers and managers to coordinate service timing and guest needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and food runner areas.
- Assist with table maintenance, including clearing and resetting.
- Support team in pre-shift setup and end-of-day breakdown.
- Embody the principles of “Unreasonable Hospitality” by being proactive, attentive, and warm in all guest interactions.
- Learn and convey knowledge about Los Poblanos’ farm, ingredients, and culinary philosophy.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Passion for food, storytelling, and the Los Poblanos mission of sustainability and community.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift trays and items up to 30 lbs.
- Comfortable moving quickly and safely in a high-energy environment.
