Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and drink options to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards through proper handling, serving techniques, and adherence to health regulations
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure seamless service flow
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using cashiering skills
- Culinary or food industry experience including food preparation, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and food handling practices
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for order calculations and cash handling
- Experience with OpenTable reservations system is advantageous
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety regulations required for safe food handling
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
