Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Masters Swim Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in swimming and coaching, with the ability to educate and motivate swimmers of all skill levels. This role involves developing training programs, teaching swimming techniques, and fostering a positive environment for athletes to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective training programs tailored to individual swimmer needs and goals.
- Teach swimming techniques, including strokes, starts, turns, and finishes.
- Conduct regular assessments of swimmer progress and adjust training plans accordingly.
- Organize and lead classes, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance the overall swimming program.
- Educate swimmers on the importance of physical fitness, nutrition, and mental preparation for competitions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in swimming or related disciplines such as basketball or martial arts.
- Strong knowledge of swim techniques and training methodologies.
- Ability to educate athletes effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
- Experience in behavior management techniques to maintain discipline during practices.
- Familiarity with health club or gym settings is preferred.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- A passion for climbing or Judo may be beneficial but is not required.
