The 3-time WNBA Champion Los Angeles Sparks are seeking a Graphic Designer to create dynamic, on-brand visual assets that elevate the team’s identity, engage fans, and support organizational goals across marketing, digital, social, community, partnership, and game presentation initiatives. This role blends creativity, speed, and sports culture—delivering compelling designs that resonate with fans and represent the Sparks. The ideal candidate thrives in collaboration, excels in fast-paced environments, and brings strong creative ideas to life. This position reports to the Sr. Graphic Designer.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute high-quality graphics, including print and digital ads, social media, in-arena elements, website, email, merchandise, and marketing campaigns
  • Ensure that all creative work is on-brand and consistent across all channels
  • Assist in design of creative assets for game days—including LED animations, scoreboard graphics, and social content
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting fast turnarounds, live deadlines, and game-night production needs
  • Assist with strategizing and developing methods to increase fan engagement and brand awareness in all digital platforms
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to understand project requirements, provide design solutions, and meet stakeholder expectations
  • Prepare and deliver final creative assets in appropriate formats for various channels 
  • Stay current on sports design trends, typography, motion graphics, and creative best practices

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; After Effects or motion design skills are a strong plus
  • Strong creative portfolio showcasing sports design, typography, layout, and brand work
  • Understanding of social media formats, digital trends, and platform-specific creative best practices
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 2–4 years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in sports, entertainment, or fast-paced creative environments

PREFERRED:
  • Interest in women’s sports, basketball culture, or fan engagement trends
  • Sports team or league experience preferred
  • Photography or illustration skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and game days as required
  • Available to work on-site for Sparks home games 
  • Must be willing to relocate to Los Angeles, CA

Compensation commensurate with experience; minimum starting salary $70,000
