Position Overview
The VP will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and will function as the CEO’s right hand, acting as the CEO’s eyes and ears across all departments, initiatives, and major projects. This leader will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, strategic follow-through, and organizational alignment.
The VP will collaborate closely with all C-suite leaders to move initiatives forward, strengthen processes, and support the long-term vision of the Mission. This role requires a proactive, hands-on leader with strong operational expertise, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to serving the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operational functions to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery across all departments.
- Serve as the CEO’s trusted partner, providing detailed visibility into organizational progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Monitor, track, and advance all major projects to ensure deadlines, milestones, and organizational goals are met.
- Develop, implement, and refine operational systems, policies, workflows, and performance standards.
- Support executive leaders and department heads in planning, budgeting, staffing, and operational decision-making.
- Assist in preparing and delivering board presentations and communications, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and professionalism.
- Represent the Los Angeles Mission at public and private events, including evenings and weekends.
- Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and organizational policies.
- Provide stable leadership during complex situations requiring calm, quick decision-making.
