JOB DESCRIPTION
The Community Relations and Hockey Development Assistant will support the Community Relations Department and/or Kings Care Foundation with the execution of community and game night events and programs, completing donation requests, processing auction requests and providing general administrative support to the Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist the Community and Hockey Development Department with planning and/or executing various programs and initiatives, including Special Events organized by the Department and the Kings Care Foundation.
- Respond to donation requests and answer general inquiries to the Community Relations Department and Kings Care Foundation, by phone or via correspondence.
- Work closely with Alumni/Community Specialists on scheduling, event details and all travel logistics.
- Support implementation of Kings Care Foundation game night events, game night silent auctions and hockey activations
- Provide general administrative support including:
- Assisting with Department SVP's expenses
- Organizing and maintaining department databases
- Maintaining filing systems
- Faxing and photocopying
- Maintaining department supplies, equipment, materials, etc.
- Organizing and maintaining storage areas and shared work spaces
- Researching information and resolving routine problems

The Community Relations and Hockey Development Assistant must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities:
- Experience using and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn required business systems

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education:
- High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred)
Experience:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience
