Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with pitching, performance and medical departments to develop holistic return-to-play programs for pitchers
- Coordinate daily/weekly pitching rehab schedules and oversee daily practice, communicating with necessary parties to ensure program needs are met
- Monitor rehab pitchers’ workloads, adjusting as necessary
- Utilize internal tools, sports science resources, and analytical information to assess and adjust players’ plans
- Communicate regularly across departments on player progress
- Collaborate with mental performance, player care, and education staff to ensure a supportive environment on- and off-field for rehab players
- Work closely with Arizona and affiliate pitching staffs to ensure successful transition back to games and out of rehab, attending games and practices as needed
- Engage regularly with research on best practices in sports science, rehabilitation, and throwing/pitching to continue to improve processes
- Experience instructing and/or training in a collaborative high performance sport environment
- High-level understanding of pitching mechanics, pitch design, and arsenal construction. Some understanding of velocity-based throwing progression development for short- and long-term rehabilitation.
- Passion and empathy for the player injury rehabilitation process. Firsthand experience as a player or coach is a plus.
- Strong ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and excellent collaboration skills
- Willingness to relocate to Glendale, Arizona to work out of Camelback Ranch year-round
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
