What are the responsibilities and job description for the MANAGER, CRISIS RESPONSE TEAMS position at Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (CA)?
Provides guidance, oversight and support for the daily operations of the Crisis Response Team staff across LA Metro’s rail and bus system.

- Oversees team(s) who evaluate individuals experiencing behavioral health crises, determine appropriate interventions, and facilitate connections to critical resources
- Supports and evaluates the delivery of mental health interventions
- Responds to requests for in-field support and ensures effective coordination of services that reduce unnecessary engagement with the justice system
- Provides clinical supervision for team members
- Performs field-based comprehensive needs assessments
- Identifies applicable resources for individuals in crisis and submits referrals
- If certified, prepares Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) applications for individuals requiring holds for immediate 72-hour detention at a stabilizing facility
- Conducts verbal wellness checks on individuals showing signs of distress to assess the need for support or assistance
- Provides support in responding to medical emergencies on the Metro transit system by initiating contact with paramedic services, collecting information, providing logistical support, and administering NARCAN (naloxone), CPR, and/or first aid, as necessary.
- Prepares operational and performance reports
- Communicates and implements safety rules, policies, and procedures in support of the agency's safety vision and goals; and maintains accountability for the safety performance of all assigned employees

A combination of education and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Education
- Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or related field
- Six years of relevant experience or three years of relevant supervisory-level experience providing services to individuals with mental health conditions in either a clinical setting or as part of a field-based team
- A valid, current and unrestricted clinical license, such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW), Psychologist (Psy.D.) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

- Demonstrate effective management and leadership of staff
- Respond calmly and quickly in stressful and emergency situations
- Interface with the public in a professional manner
- Assist during evacuation situations

Salary : $104,250 - $156,374
