What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Relations Lead position at LOS ANGELES COUNTY FAIR ASSN FAIRGROUNDS?
Guest Relations Leads perform a broad range of guest relations activities during the Los Angeles County Fair. They are responsible for supervising guest relations associates and assisting guests with directions, vendor and event information, and problem solving.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervises all guest relations associates
• Responsible for responding to guest’s comments and concerns
• Responsible for solving and providing resolution for guest problems and complaints within the L.A. County Fair, using discretion and judgment
• Assist the Lost Children’s department to return children safely to their guardian
• Ensures guest relations booths are staffed and stocked with proper information and equipment for daily use
• Handles cash, tickets and other incentives to refund or appease unhappy guests
• Maintains high visibility during the Fair
• Other duties as assigned
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
• Must possess analytical and public relations skills
• Requires organizational skills and the ability to perform in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
• Must be able to use a 2-way hand held radio to communicate
• Must be able to provide exceptional customer service to Fair Guests and Partners
• Must be able to utilize company-provided app or web-based timekeeping system to clock in and out
• Must be able to demonstrate basic technology proficiency, including the ability to use a mobile device or computer to record work hours accurately
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB
• Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold
• Must be able to move around the fairgrounds with ease
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Must be able to work every day of the L.A. County Fair
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
